When Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror took Constantinople in 1453, he first ordered the construction of a new residence. This was to become the palace later known as Topkapi.

The Summer Palace is a former imperial palace and now a park and UNESCO World Heritage Site in Beijing, China. It is a popular tourist destination but also serves as a recreational park. It is located northwest of Beijing's center in Haidian District, between the Fourth and Fifth Ring Roads.
The Summer Palace is mainly dominated by Longevity Hill and the Kunming Lake. It covers an expanse of 2.9 square kilometres, three quarters of which is water. Longevity Hill is about 60 metres (200 feet) high and has many buildings positioned in sequence. It is not only in china but also world's most beautiful palace.
Pena National Palace, Sintra, Portugal
The Pena National Palace is a Romanticist palace in São Pedro de Penaferrim, municipality of Sintra, Portugal. The palace stands on the top of a hill above the town of Sintra, and on a clear day it can be easily seen from Lisbon and much of its metropolitan area.
Built in 1842 by King Ferdinand II, the Pena National Palace in Portugal is the most beautiful and oldest European castle in the Romanticism style. The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal.
